There are no photos at the present moment ... there still in the camera. However, check the new feature called ARCHIVE on the main menu bar. It's been a busy summer of scraping and painting interior walls and trying to track down the leak in the roof that still remains elusive no matter how much tar we use. Repairing the windows has been a priority and the majority have been done. The back porch is in the process of demolition. The most amazing thing is having the electicity hooked back up ... now we can vacuum and use powered carpentry tools.

The remaining jobs before winter are capping the hole that the back porch will leave, cleaning the chimney so we can use the wood cookstove, plumbing which includes pumping out the septic tank, deciding on a hand pump or jet pump, and a grey water system. Hopefully the last attempt at the roof leak was successful, otherwise, it's still on the list. That should keep us busy while we discover other unexpected things ... like the bats in the attic.

The hole that was left when the back porch was removed, we did cap with a temporary roof and put a window in place of the back door.
