Welcome to the documentation of the reconstruction of an early 1800's wooden house purchased to be a summer house; a place to go fishing, hunting, gathering, gold panning and sea kayaking. The chronicling can be found on the above menu bar listed as updates.
My name is Brian Nichols and I live in Halifax, Nova Scotia. My wife, Chery Lycette, and I bought this abandoned house and land for $6000 Cdn in September 2001 from an ex-politician and retired real estate lawyer named Dick. His retirement hobby is buying and selling small pieces of land that are auctioned at the semi-annual sheriff sales. There was $2500 owing in back taxes on the Jewers House when Dick bought it in 1995.
