This test, using dichorophenol lindophenol, shows if sufficient Vitamin C is being consumed to have the excess excreted in the urine.

People who may want to have this test performed; those prone to viral and bacterial infections or those who feel their immune system to be lowered, those people with asthma, allergies, poor wound healing and bruising, low iron, arthritis, gallstones, easy sprains, people who are tired, have a chronic illness or stress, those people who are interested in the antioxidant/ preventive qualities of vitamin C, people with an adrenal test score of below 17 or above 25 and anyone already taking Vitamin C supplements to see if they are absorbing their remedy and on the correct dosage.

  • 1 to 2 = You are likely taking a Vitamin C supplement and are on the correct amount.
  • 3 to 5 = This means that sufficient Vitamin C is being consumed to have the excess excreted in the urine.
  • 6 to 10 = You are not considered to be deficient, yet. Eat more Vitamin C rich foods.
  • 10 & over = This means a Vitamin C deficiency and need for supplementation
If your score indicates that you need to improve your Vitamin C intake or absorption, retest in 4- 6 weeks after the appropriate treatment has been implemented.
